does anyone know the old tv show about a p38 pilot and his one eyed dog?

i watched this like 25 years ago on tv and loved it

i was like ten so dont recall many things

in one episode the pilot adventurer in a game of poker would bet the glass eye of the dog after asking him if he could, being his answer one guau, later in the face of the dog anoayance was made clear than one guau meant no and two guaus meant yes :)

in another episode the main charachter was flying his p38 acoompanied by a woman, some 109 started hunting them so they lost them in the clouds but one german bullet had damaged the artificial horizont and they had no visibility at all

so the main characther asked the women for her litle botle of perfume and her lipstick

he painted a line in the botle with the lipstick and voila an artificial horizont

does this ring a bell can anyone tell by this the tv show? i would love to check it back, good memories :)

Tales of the gold monkey? That had a one eyed dog.
It wasn't a p38 I don't think, it was some kind of grumman sea plane called "cutters goose"

It wasnt a P38 but a F4u.
The "hero" of that seasons was "Gregory "Peppy" Boyington" from the 70´s i think.
Here in Germany it was called "Pazifik Geschwader 214" and the original title was imho " Baa Baa Black Sheep".

Edit: Sorry, seems I was on the wrong track, the bullterrier still got his both eyes working, maybe not still....however, nice entertainment.

raaid ... seriously????? ... that would be one very over-crowded p38 cockpit ... or did this woman have her own p38 ???
