I hope that finds it way into the game sometime...Be nice to have a change of scenery when your bored of the flying game..

I think the "big announcement" they hinted at will be the sequel.

I think they have delayed making it public because of the competition. I'm sure they have some suprises up their sleeve gameplay wise (at least I hope) that they don't want War Thunder to know about. I know War Thunder has a "Total War" mode that has been hinted at, but we know nothing about it because I doubt they want Maddox Games to know about it and vice versa with the sequel.

I hope they blow me away. Competition is always good.
