i7 FPS tip (tested on i7 860)

Hi Everyone,

First post :) I don't normally sign up to forums, I'm more of a lurker, but felt I had to share this tip as it increase my FPS quite dramatically! It might be common knowledge but I couldn't find anything using the search.
I've been using the take off training mission as a benchmark and after applying the following my 22 FPS has shot up to a solid 45 FPS!
How? By disabling Windows 7 'parked cores' power saving feature and changing CoD processor affinity to use all 8 threads.

Disabling parked cores:
-Open regedit
-Find this key "0cc5b647-c1df-4637-891a-dec35c318583"
-Find the value called "ValueMax"
-Change it to 0
-Search for the same key again until you've changed them all
-Open conf.ini and under [rts] add: "ProcessAffinityMask=255" without quotes
-Reboot to disable parked cores

Also ensure hyper-threading is disabled in your bios, I'm not sure if this is necessary but it's known to cause some issues, I did this anyway.

Hope this gives someone a much needed FPS boost.

If you disable Hyperthreading then how can Cliffs use 8 threads?
