Steam keeps changing settings
 

Hi Folks , I keep losing my 1.07 patch on Cliffs of Dover , because steam keeps changing my settings to "always keep this game up to date " So the game is always going back to 1.05.15950 . Is there some kind of solution that I'm unaware of ?

No shouldn't be, we are all running the same way...you have something else going on there. Not sure what it could be, turn on cloud if it is off.

I changed the settings back to Do NOT update this game , and then I shut off steam and restarted it and the setting stays good , until I apply the new patch (1.07 ) then when I start up the game steam changes everything back to automatic updates.

I got steam to stop updating finally , but the patch doesn't seem to take . I'm using express Zip and extracting it straight to Steam/Steamapps/common/ il2cliffsetc . What am I doing wrong ? No matter how many times I've tried this it just doesn't work .My winzip is expired and I don't want to pay 59.99 for it .

Try using WinRAR most here do, they have a 40 day free trial version.

Thanks slipball I finally got it patched but now I can see what people are complaining about with the disappearing trees and then having them pop up in front of you when you fly at low level . Think I'll go back to 1.06 that was working quite well in comparison .
