Oh, that made me laugh!

Heh, heh.

I get the dreaded black screen, which seems to be related to my over ambitious settings and my neanderthal system. Otherwise no CTDs for me which seems to make me 'special.' My biggest gripe's the sniperiness of the Sov tank gunners who can shoot the wings off a fly at 2,500 yards. Most unsporting.

A bit buggy but great fun playing some of the maps, especially if they are edited to squad sized attacks.

Black screen? Does the sound still work?

If it does you only need to flush the memory.

It is a bit buggy and the interface is clunky, but a hell of a lot of fun.

according to my steam its rapidly catching up with my Clod hours.....

In Arma2 incl DayZ and i44 etc etc if you get the black screen but the game is still running ie you can still hear the game you need to flush the vid memory.

To do this its

1, press left shift and minus on the keypad.

2,then type this..... flush

3, game should resume after a few moments.

Consider reducing your video settings if this happens regularly.

However try not to alt tab out of the game as this seems to cause this problem to.

Its an Arma thing.

Oh and try running the game at different resolution to your desktop.
