Fairly neet for a roadable aircraft!

But in honour of the Bladerunner anniversary I will hold out for the Moller Skycar!

Though I know how I've complained about the noise my neighbours hotted up Mazda makes on a Sunday morning, I just want to get him back by firing up 8 rotarys and using his house as part of my flight path.

Whatever form the flyable cars turn out to be, I'ld better start saving up for one now!

Hey, you never know, by the time I will be able to afford one the emdrives might turn out to work!!! :)

Problem in most jurisdictions is unless you live in the boondocks you will likely have to drive to an airport and taxi to a runway before you are permitted by the ATC to takeoff.

why have the moller sky cars never really taken off (no pun intended)? i mean, by design it looks like a single engine failure would render it unstable and therefore be terminal - could that be it?

Allot of people cant even drive, imagine if they could fly at the flip of a button. Scary thought. :-P

Each of the engine pods has two rotary motors in. I think their web site says it 'should' be able loose two engines as long as their not in the same pod. AND they plan to have a parachute for when the pooh hits the ducted fan ( :) )

I don't think they've done untetherd flights with it yet.

On the moller web site they say the big plan is to have them completely computer controlled with automated airtraffic control. No piloting involved, just select the destination. :(

I personally think that would suck!

I would demand a manual overide lever!!!!!!

Just remember that all those cars you see broken down at the side of the road will be holes in the ground.
