Hi guys
After start game pres ctr+alt+del go to windows task menager
find luncher.exe click rigcht mouse buttom on it and pick set affinitty
turn off cpu 1,3,5,7
close the window and back to game
work witch my Core i7-2720QM

Anybody able to Verify?
 

Anyone else try this, I'm curious although I struggle to see how it would work.

Certainly doesn't work for me. Looks like he has a Quad core, where does the 5 and 7 fit in. I have a Quad and only options I have are the normal 0,1,2,3. If I try and disable any, all I get is lockups.

Does turning off multithreading have the same result for you or does this work better?

I suspect disabling hyperthreading in the bios is about the same thing. :D

guys, I will say it again: the best thing, with the biggest influence about preventing microstutters is optimizing your OS & drivers.

the best improvement is made by having at least 8GB of RAM and getting rid of system's page file! you will need, of course, lots of RAM to do that. I had 8 in the beginning, and from time to time I was still receiving the System will be out of memory warning message now and then, but I was still keeping my Chrome with like 40 tans opened all the time in the background. After I went for 16 GB, I had no other warnings at all, no matter how many other programs I would keep running in the background

install the latest DirectX 9.0c

install the latest drivers

turn off all the firewalls/antiviruses programs you have

turn off all the not needed programs/processes/services running

have fun :)

Haven't tried turning off hyperthreading or adjusting the processor affinity, but in regards to stuttering I noticed the other day when I was recording the game with Fraps that it would run more smoothly.

Instead of the constant jerkiness when flying at low altitudes, the game would run smoothly for a few seconds then stutter a bit then run smooth again. It didn't stop the stuttering altogether and of course it wouldn't be practical to have to record gigabytes of data just to run the game more smoothly, but I thought it was an interesting effect.

I'd guess the increased smoothness might have something to do with Fraps making the game run at a more constant (albeit lower?) frame-rate. Others have suggested in the past a frame-rate limiter might reduce the stuttering, but beyond turning v-sync on (or recording with Fraps), I don't know how a more constant frame-rate could be set.

Easiest way to reduce stutter in CoD: turn off HyperThreading(if applicable), turn off grass and SSAO in game. Sure does not look so nice when landing without grass, but this is not a game about lawn mowers either ;-)
