I would like to see some other bullet effects... in real ww2 footages the 50cal looks very different as in the game. I like the gunsmoke from your video @nic727

Very Nice!
These effects are really great. I'll bet that even my ex-wife would like them...well maybe not... But I like them!
|
Another video I found :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5U5YIPOLDl8 In the video you can see blur effect (because the pilot is tired???) at 5:55 3D smoke at 6:42 3D crater model http://data.imagup.com/10/1153355063.png Bonus video : Submarine simulation in Il2 1946 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJfy42RpIWU But you need OpenGl water=2 and higher what I don't have :( |
This is awsome! Why TD and SAS guys don't shake their hands?
|
I don't know. If they do that, it can be a great update :)
|
I'm wary of most mods, but I gotta admit, these smoke effects are mighty impressive. What's the cost in performance?
|
The blur in the first video is a post process cinematic effect that is over done and utterly unnecessary. Any pilot that had vision that blurry would have been pulled from active duty.
As to the submarine sequence... Absurd. No submarine that was attacking an enemy task force would be actively pinging its sonar. It would give away their presence to the enemy escorts. Someone has seen too many Hollywood movies about the war and thinks that's how a simulator should be. |
