Totally random crash in skirmish, freezes PC
 

Hi guys,

I am playing the latest update of MoW: AS, and it randomly crashes my PC during skirmishes. It seemed to develop a pattern of crashing around 1hr after an autosave when I carried on playing, but today it crashed after about 30 mins and no autosave.

This crash actually freezes the PC - I have to press the reset button on the tower to manually restart it, or I just can't use it.

Anyone got any ideas as to a fix? Don't want to bother 1C support if it ends up being something really silly!

What map are you playing?

It has so far happened on every skirmish I have played recently: so Overlord, Smolensk and Caen Outskirts (the first ones of the US, Russian and German campaigns, don't remember if the names are correct!).

I registered to this forum Just to help you guys... I find the problem, it is the ATI graphics card if thats the one you have. I know it will sound silly but the reason is the dynamics of the shadows.. Thats right... You cant make your 'shadows' configuration in the options - video; medium or higher, you can make it either off or low.. and also dont forget to turn of anti-aliasing.. It causes stuff too. I really hope it helps, cuz the game rocks :cool:
