MY squad at Ramstein AirBase, Germany, 30 years ago, fueled this Spitfire with 110 octane, it was the only high octane we could get at that time..

Perhaps we will hear from a couple of people who will deny that this ever happened and want to ignore all the evidence. It was all a made up fairy tale, LOL.

I'd say a typical 4-5% alcohol British Ale. But I'm not sure how much the RAF had in storage at the time.
