Server Authentification Failed.

Think I have found a way around this.

Start another steam game,

Start cliffs of Dover and rejoin.


It happened twice to me tonight and this mothod worked twice....


:-P

I faced this bug with ATAG server and i don't have other steam games so i don't know how to fix this...:(

please vote, it's a really annoying bug

same thing is happening to me. Just did a fresh install and updated to new patch, after not playing for a month. Got on the server once, then quit. When I tried to rejoin it started happening. I can join other servers!

Like you I have no other steam games

There are F2P games on Steam too, maybe install the smallest one (in MB's) and use that to reset your Steam login status?

I have had this issue once or twice. ATAG_Bliss gave me a tip. He believes this only ocurrs if you exit the server during the Mission loading progress. His advice was never to exit if the mission loading progress bar is still there. Apparently Steam gets confused if you exit at this stage and so thinks you are still in the sever ... its holding your log in hostage until the server is rebooted. On ATAG this happens I think every 4 hours.

Since then I never exit the server until the mission loading progress bar has hit 100% or the the server times out. since then I have never seen this issue again.

I keep getting the same issue... upon attempt to connect to ATAG server... (I don't touch anything & am being patient)... i get 'Server time out error' or words to that effect.. then upon future attempts to connect i get the 'Server Authentication Failed' error.

Its very frustrating..
