Interesting site on the history of the Tempest. Of particular note is the comparison of the Tempest to the Spitfire Mk.XIV, Typhoon, FW 190 and the Bf 109.

An oldie but a goodie! Great to repost that link now and again... although it contains some unusual remarks particularly with regards to the Bf109G and the Tempest turn circle comparisons. My assumption is that they did this test at high speeds and that is why they get the results they did.

All I see is a lot of if, buts, possibly, and maybe's.

Nothing conclusive as no variant of aircraft is stated either.
