Poor Choice of Words...

One of the game-generated (I think) messages uses a poor choice of words. The message is something like "Xyz murdered the tail gunner...". This is not "murder" unless that tail gunner was tied to a tree or dangling in his shute. Can't we just say killed.

I suggest "assassinated" or "butchered". Or maybe "plinked"?

ATAG_Snapper 02-04-2012 11:02 PM

"Given the chop"?

It's a good point. Military combatants do not murder each other; they kill each other. "Murder" implies an illegal act.

The gunner/pilot whatever suffered a sudden case of lead poisoning :-P:-P

Do agree with the OP, I've seen that in several screenshots and it always jars.

"killed" is more than adequate.

I think it probably doesn't make a difference to the dead man how his demise is described. Dead is dead.

As a suggesion put it in this thread (in the correct format please) as it will have a better chance of getting noticed.
