Can't find on 4.11 manual meaning of this new Difficulty option.

Any help?

No HUD icons means no aircraft tags (ie. just "icons" in 4.10).

When i first red this in the 4.11 manual i taught it was about HUD messages. But its also easy to disconect them in the conf ini file :)

Unfortunately, it's all or none. HUD message such as bomb-sight and radio parameters are essential. Most others are distracting ;)

Well ... not entirely.

I believe it is possible to edit the text of some of the HUD messages and replace them with other messages or even spaces so they disappear. Though according to this thread it only works with modded installs.

However I have never actually tried to do it myself and it would be a PITA to do as there are so many messages to fiddle with.

It would probably not be hard to write a dedicated HUD editor, I might have a look at it sometime.
