Black screen bug?
 

Okay so i decided to play IL-2 1946 for a change and last time i played it propably a year ago but now it looks like i cant play it...

I dont know how common this problem is but everytime i load any map it's just black with some random lights in the horizon, i can only see my plane and a sun... i can't quit so i have to ctrl+alt+del just to quit the game. I was playing the game fine one year ago so i dont know what's going on. I'm using 4.10.1 version still but it shouldn't be a problem, so is this a common problem or something? Is there any way to fix it?

I'm using ATI card btw if that matters.

try to find a setting called advanced adaptive antialiasing turn it off.

Advanced adaptive anti-aliasing? I can only find "adaptive anti-aliasing" in anti-aliasing options but i'm not even using it, i'm using multi-sample AA and it doesnt even matter, if i decide not to use AA i still get black screen. :confused:

EDIT1: Looks like it has something to do with landscape detail, when i put it to excellent instead of perfect the game works... Also i have another weird problem... the "esc" key doesnt work for some reason, i can't quit a game after i start a flight, only way to quit is to open task manager and close the game from there... Also the game had reseted sound settings before so there was no sound which i already fixed... i wonder where all these problems came from? Is the game changing settings by itself because i remember playing without any problems last time i played a year ago.

EDIT2: Just f*ck it i read that my config file might be corrupted or something for whatever reason and that some data might just disappear randomly... so i'm just going to re-install the whole game, it's not that big of a deal anyway and atleast i kow there isn't anything wrong after that.

EDIT3: Well looks like validating the files through steam did the trick (10 files failed to validate...) and my conf.ini file looks completely different now... i still don't understand why the game messes up the files by itself while you're not even playing it. Although now the game version is 4.09 because steam doesn't auto-update it further so now i'm afraid reverting from 4.10.1 to 4.09 might have messed up the game and DCG (dynamic campaign creator) so whatever i guess i'm still going to re-download the whole game lol...
