can 4.09 devlopers confirm if some planes will be added to 4.09? I hear rumors suggesting some hacked mod planes will be added and if so
will 4.09 be an offical patch (approved by Oleg)if and when it gets released?

You shouldn't listen to the unspeakables.

4.09 is an official patch made by 3rd-Party developers. 1C stopped working on IL2 several month ago. But even if they'd just do it like the unspeakables, copy'n'paste plazebo-cockpits to AI-planes with their simplified AI-flightmodels, that would demand more resources than 1C is going to divert from BoB.

Give the german pilots a life vest.

A third party task force autorized by Oleg to release some official patch would be a good solution, waiting for BoB.....

It's very hard for me define this top quality work as an hack......... Don't support this kinde of work is really a nonsense. New life for german aviation!

Agreed. There is some pretty nice stuff done by the unspeakables, but I doubt Oleg will ever support them and I also doubt 1C will give their okay to even those files that include new textures or effects only.

And new code and FMs - well, as I posted before, they'd need detailed testing and looking through the code and that is simply not possible ATM.
