¿USAAF Hurricane?
I knew about the USAAF Squadrons with Spitfires, but I've never read anything about USAAF Hurricanes. Does anyone know if the Americans used Hurricane?. Do you know something about this photo?

Hi Hicks, Great pic. Where did you find it?
To answer your question its not a USAAF Hurricane, its infact a Royal Navy Hurricane, i believe from 800 squadron. They took part in the British/American lead invasion of French North Africa, known as operation torch :) British and American planes were given the same markings to avoid any friendly fire incidents. Hope this helps. |
Thanks Foz ;)
