Game will no longer launch
 

Im not sure why this is happening. Ive been playing the game since release, the only major issues ive had is the launcher crashes during online play. Ive been busy and havent played in 2 weeks, suddenly i go to play the game last night and it will not load. I get the crosshair symbol at the start followed by a black screen that lasts indefinitely until i alt-f4. Im wondering if there has been any sort of auto update that im not aware of that could be causing this. Ive verified my game files, updated ATI drivers, changed desktop resolution, changed game resolution in the conf file, and a few other things that i cant think of off hand.

Same problem here. I installed a new graphics card today and I launched a couple of missions without a problem.

Now, I get to the yellow cross-hairs point and nothing happens. I have to exit with Task Manager.

This now happens also with Rise of Flight.

To answer my own post:

This appears to be a Windows 7 issue. I've had some success with Compatibility Mode, but nothing that's entirely satisfactory.

I'll install Windows XP on this gaming computer. That should hopefully cure it. Is Bill Gates designing-out PC games??

Avro I don't think trying to run CLoD on XP is a very good idea at the moment.
If you really can't get it to launch try re-installing the game. At least Steam will retain your settings.

I reinstalled my game and it works fine now. I'm not sure what caused it to suddenly not load in the first place, but re-installation worked in my case.
