after downloading VAC(voice activated commands) i really wish working AI & commands

today, after several days of searching in the web for voice recognition software, i downloaded VAC(voice activated commands).
i cant believe how good this is working.its really working perfectly, very precise and quick.
but now its even more frustrating, that i cannot give my AI comrades any commands except for formation types.
i also reinstalled il1946 to see the power of this tool, and there it really makes fun to command the ai by your own voice.its very immersive and much more comfortable than hitting several keystrokes.
for everybody who has a mic, and not yet tried this software, i really can recommend it!its free for the first 30 days, and after the trial time, it costs 18$ i think.
there are other voice recognition programs out in the web for free, like shoot....i tried it, but i am really confused how to use it.dont even know if i installed it correctly and unfortunately im not able to make my own profile whatsoever.so i cannot tell how good this free tool works.

but VAC definitely works perfect for me, and if i dont find another software which is as precise, i will buy it after the 30days period.
i can really recommend it!

I'm wondering how this system works exactly.
I mean do I have to call the english commands eventhough my game is in german with german written commands?

no...you can really easy set up your own profile and let the programm execute any keystroke combinations with any word you want to choose.
i myself have set up a profile with german commands for the formations and it really works perfectly.not one incident where the program misunderstood me.
i mainly use the exact phrase for each formation like:"Formation Echelon links","Formation hintereinander" and so on...
if im in trouple i just say "Hilfe" and the whole swarm will try to help me, if i say:"Flügelmann Deckung geben" only the wingman comes to help.

you can install it and try it for free one month.if you have problems, i will try to help you if you are interested.
i had a small problem to install it first...cause one have to execute the file as admin.and also after installation one should run the vac software and the VAC builder as admin.but then its really easy to set up profiles and again...it works perfectly.

One good thing about using this is you can keep your both hands at game controllers, no need to type anything. Haven't tried this with CoD, but it worked pretty well with IL2 when giving commands to AI pilots.

so true.i only reinstalled 1946 to try it there, as in cod we dont have many working ai commands.in 1946 its really immersive.
@slm...if i understood it correctly, after the 30days of trial, the software will stop working, until i buy it,...is that right?

slm 12-13-2011 04:24 PM

I tested it only during the demo period.

ah ok...well if the commands will work in cod, i will buy vac.i think its worth the 18$.
although it would be cool if this feature would be directly implemented into COD.

yep, 18$ software included in a 25$ game. :D :D :D
