[Bug tracking] Bf 110: wrong tag descriptions
 

Some minor errors I've stumbled upon recently. Please check commented screenshots.

Btw: "Nagerecht" is a funny word in german ;)

Yes but your correction is also wrong.
Nagerecht should be Wagerecht.

Both are correct, back then you did write it Wagerecht and now you write it Waagerecht (new style German after the Rechtschreibreform (spelling reform) from 1996).

But for historical accuracy it should be written Wagerecht.

Bad spelling but good engineering
 

I couldn't find any reference to the spelling reform in 1996, but I found that the word Wage (Scale) was changed to Waage in 1927 to separate it from the word Wagen (Car, Cart, Coach). I'm sure, the word wagerecht was changed at the same time to waagerecht. I found it for example in the big BF110B-manual on page 24.

My conclusion is, that this is bad spelling but good engineering. They had letters with a certain size and there was not enough room for the correct word. So they used the wrong spelling.

It is possible, that both version were allowed at that time.

Good input, thanks mate! Another thing should be the implementation of the MG/FFM into the Bf 110 C4. Historical sources claim that the bird was equiped with the modyfied oerlikons with the capability to fire mineshells.

I guess they forgot to use the correct language pack in Photoshop for Ä/ä, Ö/ö, Ü/ü ß

That are the results when bavarians have to write in german!
Could also bee an bad translation from Wagrecht (bavarian spoken: woagrecht) to German Waagerecht.

Dont forget: 70 Million Germans can not speak Bavarian! :grin:
