Remember Myst Series?

I have played long ago Myst II Riven and I must stay it was ever since the best game I have ever played. It had stunning graphics that still looks good today and so much mood. It had probably the best soundtrack ever recorded for a video game.

The riddles were really great and tough and the whole atmosphere was so mysterious.

I also liked that they had real humans there. Unfortunately it seems they no longer use this trick. We just get animated figures that always look like animated figures.

A video (unfortunately some problems with the sound):

Now there was a game series, well except for Myst IV (made under license)... that was a bit of a let down.
Myst was absolutely brilliant for its time, a shame though that the online multiplayer version never took off

Ah Myst...sigh...what a beautiful series, well until it went all 3D on us. Very intelligent game, a literate masterpiece....Game Art at it's best.

Will there ever be another game like it ?
