I think TS 3 broke my sound..

I finally got around to downloading TS 3 today, and first I must say, it is the best thing I have done in a while.. If u haven't tried flying with comms and a wingie, u are really missing out on a really fun dimension to this sim!!

That being said, one of the guys advised me to dl an app that displays who is speaking so u can better id each other in game...

I added the app, and now my I game sound is cut by at least 95%...

Any ideas?

I am thinking about doing a complete reinstall, since I was running all the beta patches anyway...

But I hope this isn't going to be an ongoing issue nonetheless.

Thx.

There is an option in TS3 (don't know off the top of my head what it's called) but it will cut out the game's volume by a certain percentage every time people talk to help you hear their voices.

I think that option must have gotten enabled (which I like btw) and is cutting out your sound.

I'll try and see if I can find out what it's called.

Same thing happened to me after using TS3. Check your Win7 Mixer Control (Start/Control Panel/Hardware and Sound/Sound - Adjust system volume). Check to make sure your Steam volume control hasn't been reduced down to 0.

Cheesehawk, I owe u big time..

I had completely reinstalled the game, TS3, the works, to no avail..

Was about to shelve the game for a couple days in frustration..

Then read your post..

That was the fix! LOL

Thx a million!!
