Steam & new patch Please Help me -Cannot start the game at all
Hi to all,
After the day that released the new patch, I have a serious problem: I am trying to start the game (by clicking the desktop shortcut of the game) and the automatic update with the new patch from steam…and nothing happens at all……nothing …..zero….!!! What can I do? Please help me Thanks |
Have you tried starting the game from steam, rather than the desktop shortcut? Verify game file in steam?

Yes ....i've tried to run the game direct from steam.....nothing :(
My game file is verified .....and i havent any problems when a patch is released!!The update was done automatically. I dont know my friend what happens!! |
I had a similar problem. I had to go into the Task Manager and "End Process" the Steam.exe. When I started Steam up again I was able to start the sim.

well, I would try two things first...
1. Open Steam, open game library, Right click on COD, select Properties, Select Local Files TAB, Select Verify Integrity of Local Game Cache. if still fails to start... 2. Open Steam, open game library, Right click on COD, select Properties, Select Local Files TAB, Delete Local Game Content plus go here C:\Users\USER NAME\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover and delete CACHE and re-download. If still fails to start... Need to look for a dmp file and send to this forum or try Tech Help. good luck |

the following helped me:
i disabled the automatic update function in STEAM than i enabled it again , and the download of the patch started. |
