Is there a way to install the release version without the patches?

Hello guys. I got the digital download from Just Flight. Is tere a way to install the game again without the patches?
I tried twice but that bloody steam starts installing the latest patch without any chance to get the version from the actual install.
There's over 4 GB in that installer and I think it should be enough to get the game running, but you never get the option to install only that version.

I read on Steam help page that you can install of the disc some titles but I don't know if i can do it with this digital download from Just Flight.

I have another copy I preordered from UBI long ago and i think that would work the same way.

Anyone has any ideas?

thx,

you can disable updates , right clicking in the game's name / properties

Did you try installing without internet access?

Installing it from the disk without internet access at all should do the trick. If you guys are doing this, please let me know which is the version of the original game. I need it for my timeline (it's the only version number I do not have), and I'm too lazy to try and do it myself.

And btw, I've saved a backup revert from 1.05.15950 to 1.03.15527.

I was under the impression that the disk just had the Steam install, dot net and visual basic libraries.

You needed to be online and install Steam would d/l the current game.(patched to latest version)Turning update off would just prevent future patches.

I do not think you can now get just the original version unless someone had the foresight to back it up using the Steam backup.Once the game is out the cat is out of the bag and you are not getting it back in.

I think the original version was number 1.00.13820

You can't install a steam game without internet connection.
