AI recommendations for development
AI is still the same as it was during release, not been patched yet. But will come as Ilya stated. I like the AI during dogfights they make good moves, very challenging.
I have some recommendations for the AI: AI formation on their way home become very inactive, do not attack anymore they just follow you. Or can be inactive when you attack them, they become easy kills. AI flies in too close formation, the standard formation should be a bit wider to prevent mid air collisons. AI do not protect bombers when they are assigned to escort them(in mission builder), they just attack first fighters they see, leaving the bombers on their own. AI gunners are not impressive; poor aiming, inactive and they do not shoot when there is a good chance. You can easy fly behind a bomber formation. AI command structure should be a able to give attacking/defending commands seperate for nr 2 and the whole flight. For example nr 2 covers you while the other are free to attack. AI planes crash when you have landed, they should land also where you have landed or go to home base. AI do not warm up their engines, they directly take off. AI do not bomb, they are flying home with their bombs. Even they not get command they should drop their bomb on target. AI home base, no comms possible at the moment. You would expect even poor AI gunners to hit A/C when close by. There is some tweaking to do here. |
