full screen vs pseudo full screen?
 

So, what are the actual practical differences between the 2?

what are the benefits of one above the other?

I'm curious too. I asked this a while back and never really got a response. I couldn't really notice much of a difference between the two.

Dunno if this is anything, but I find alt-tabbing to desktop much easier in pseudo than full screen (less "weirdness" occurs when going back and forth between them). Might just be my imagination tho.

Shortly, PSEUDO is a 'fake' fullscreen, it's mostly a window stretched to fit the entire screen area while the 'real' fullscreen is a full screen support for 3D application.
On older versions of the sim, PSEUDO was better for ATI cards being stuck at low clocks while playing, but this has been solved a while ago, so actually the only difference i noticed between the two is that pseudo lets you enter the 'refly menu' (ESC) immediately while fullscreen needs to restart the video application to enter the refyl menu.

And V-Sync,Crossfire or SLI needs fullscreen to work.

I don't think full screen and or Vsinc is working. I got 100+ fps in game with full screen and vsinc on@60hz.:rolleyes:

I'm sure I get better frames in pseudo mode.

is it activated ingame and also in the gpu´s control panel??? though i experienced that despite the fact i activated vsync everywhere.

Settings like V-sync and AA on your card don't bite. It works if set in the games video menu though (AA up to2X).
