Il-2 COD Cockpit Graphics Failure

Hello guys i have the Il-2 COD.

Recently i had a Win7 Format to my PC and i was installing again all my games. Il-2 COD too through Steam Account.

When the setup was completed i started the game, set the Graphics at Very High as always.

When the loading was completed i saw a strange bug/artifact/Failure

My PC setup is:

i7 940 2.93GHz
6 Gb ram
ATI 6950 HD 2Gb DDR5
Win7 Home Premium x64

So anyone has any idea of what is this?

Ty for your time!

They really need to fix these issues. Imagine a person just downloading this sim and firing it up for the first time and getting these errors. Not a good first impression. 95% of the people who own this sim probably aren't forum lurkers like us either so they don't know how to fix it. I wish they would also fix the ATI splash screen issue as well.

Its just ludicrous that they haven't done something about that!

don't forget anti-epilepsy filter enabled is your right too,so this problem should be solved for all of us.

You have to admit in the scheme of things if turning EP filter off fixes the issues (which most people do by default) it isn't exactly a high priority, especially when they are re-writing lots of graphics rendering code. And this forum is a pretty good source of info for most problems like this even if it's not always the friendliest place that we would like it to be. But we are getting there because the frequent offenders are either getting the message or banning themselves out of existence with infractions for ignoring the rules.

The Devs will get to it when the other more important things like decals for small calibre bullets and other graphics bugs are addressed to get the game smooth with all graphical features working again.

Currently I have the last official patch for playing offline campaigns and the lastest beta for going online and it meets my needs. It obviously works well enough for a lot of others too because there have been consistently 25-40 people online in ATAG compared to less than 20 on any given night for 1946 so people ARE starting to come to CLOD. (and im in Australia and not exactly going online at peak times) Many of my squadron are now regularly on CLOD where as only 2 months ago hardly any of them were making the move to CLOD. Getting on comms (TS3) and the game has an immersion and fun factor that you cant get on 1946 even with its current short comings. I'd like a few more objectives online and more team play but it's getting better lately in terms of enjoyment for me.

So as you can see, a little graphics anomaly like this thats easily fixed shouldnt spoil the game for you!

Ummm 20 to 40 people mate is not many. I remember the old IL2 days when there were stacks more than that. I also remember, prior to turning into a sim junkie, that I had no idea about forums and stuff. I don't reckon every one who purchased this sim would know where to find this forum for answers, including the really easy stuff.
I reckon it is important to put that stuff on 1C's website, which is never updated. They could at least put a link to this forum perhaps.
Just wonder how many out there purchased the game and didn't know that a graphic glitch was so easily fixed. Those people need to be catered for also. If this a niche market, then every single person counts.
That's why I don't understand those that protect the sim by attacking others. Every person that leaves is one person too many. It's easy to say that squillions of people play off line and multiplayer is not an indication of COD's success, but what if it is an indication.
They need to tell people of these little things, whilst getting the big things done, or at least fix these little things quickly.
Just my opinion Phat, but I can see your side as well. Cheers mate.
