The map makers put a lot of effort into trying to make these missions fun for the guys that like to fly bombers. Jump on Teamspeak, even if you don't have a microphone. Trying to get ten plus bombers into formation and keep them that way is nearly impossible using chat.
Bomber Night missions usually start at or close to 10 pm Central. Sometimes we'll delay it a few minutes if the current map is close to ending or one or both sides is near completing their objectives, but it will be near 10 pm. Come join us! It's a lot of fun, either flying a bomber in the formation, a fighter escort, or as a defender. |

We do have a couple of people who get up early to fly w/ us from UK & Germany. You are welcome to join us. As V-Man said .. get on TS, even if you don't want to talk, or only know a little English ... we will do our best to explain or help you. One thing - rather than fly to target individually, we do try and form up to go as a group ... the reason we call it bomber night. ;) |
Numero uno: basically I'm used only to fighers; medium proficiency in Bf/Fw for the blue, under average in La/Yak for the reds.
Due: I've never took part in a raid, and I couldn't act even as a (very efficient) wingman for another fighter. This last bit is what makes me eager to be there w/ you: I'm a bit bored by the hectic dogfight, it'll be nice to try a more organized coop mission. If TeamSpeak is what you're using, I'll look into it. Got a directional mike, got headphones, and have lots of bandwidth to spare. As I'm in a GMT-2 timezone, it'll be 6AM Saturday morning for me; hopefuly the stout wouldn't get the best of me 'till then. Hope I won't be too unskilled for the requirements... |
