Fraps doesnt seem to let me record cliffs of dover, what has everyone been using?

The latest version should work fine.

I have been using Fraps without a problem.

Capture ..hmm. That would be a cool request. After you bail or ditch behind enemy lines have the home guard come up to you and say.."You are prisoner of war..mind the Bussle Sprouts". The cute girl would be nice too.

But back on topic, there are several older threads about fraps being problematic for some.

I never had problems with the older version, v2.9.8.

It's been resolved recently as troll says so you shouldn't have probs with updated version.

You'd never see this pilot again. No one would admit to ever seeing him and people will be running towards where he went down with pliers and blowtorches.

Make sure you check the box called "Monitor Aero desktop (DWM)" under the General tab.. It has something to do with detecthing when you press the key.. I could not make any recording either until I checked that box

Just upgraded to latest version, I want to make a movie soon then may share it here :)

MSI Afterburner has less fps hit than Fraps in my opinion, and its totally free of course:
