Issues with taxiing online

Hi,

Whenever I play online my plane is very sluggish when trying to taxi after engine startup. It feels like the plane is stuck in mud and won't move, even when the engine is at full throttle. I'm positive that my wheel brakes are all off too. Offline this is not a problem. Does anyone else have this issue?

Can it be that you are not using CEM offline, but it is enabled on the online server you are using?

In that case, check your prop pitch settings. You should have it on the setting that gives you the most RPM (fine pitch). Just check the gauge :)

^^ thats the first port of call..

Make sure brakes are off obvioulsy...mapped key?

Prop Pitch at the 12oclock position, again make sure you have mapped keys for it.. Prop Pitch increase and Decrease (lil clock like dial just left of gunsight 109 OR 100% Spit/Hurri)

I've got a slider mapped to the prop pitch, and the brakes are definitely off. It only happened on the 109, so it has to be some kind of prop pitch issue. I usually play with CEM off when I play offline. I'll try again online later tonight.

Wait till prop pitch indicator shows 12:00 before takeoff. Practice offline first. Switch off anthropomorphic control.

Yea when I first started I thought the 109 had three prop settings full, medium and min... and then I always wondered why the missions always were starting at 12pm.

Slider will not work like you think it does while in CEM settings.

The control, on 109's for example, is a toggle on the front panel for pitch up, neutral, and pitch down. The game will not allow you to map controls contrary to how this works..ie, your controls will move pitch up or down while you have them engaged only. You can't slide a control to the top and expect the pitch to move by itself to match. You can't map key presses that will automatically set prop pitch to 0%/50%/100%.

The 109's are also defaulted to spawn in at course pitch (shown position of 8:30). As Ataros stated, move your pitch control and HOLD it until you see your prop position reach fine (12:00). This should make a world of difference.

On the same note, I am very glad the designers have made the game behave this way in full switch. It adds layers of complexity to dogfighting/flying, and it has been like learning how to fly all over again for this old dog.
