Use3Renders=1
Oleg,
Please PLEASE PLEASE keep this!!!! You expressed some hesitation about whether you will support multiple monitors in the sticky above so I just want to tell you how incredible IL2 looks for me. I just got the Matrox TripleHead2Go and a TrackIR. I use two nVidia 8800GTX cards in SLI. In Perfect mode I get 60 fps on three screens!!! It is the most amazing SIM experience EVER. I can not tell you how disappointed me and the other multi-screen users will be if you don't include this. You rock, dude. |
Please a pic would be nice showing your system and to help motivate your arguement

I will as soon as I build my pit. It looks like a pile of parts at the moment.

Oleg,
Have you experienced the TripleHead 2Go? It is amazing and in my opinion an absolute "must have". Everyone should take advantage of this. You gave us peripheral vision! How could anyone NOT fly with this????? This has added what should be normal. The main reason I am so drawn to IL2 is the immersion. Being able to form up with a group online and talk to each other is a miracle. Therefore, any part of this sim that enhances that should be fully exploited. After seeing what 3 monitors with the TrackIR does, I cant imagine flying without it. This should not be a "probably" but become "everyone use it". I am begging you Oleg, can you please make this a top priority? You will be a hero for many generations. |
i was looking at buying one but when oleg relese the sepcs on SOW ill go and buy me a new computer

Huh. :confused:
You're sure you need 3DRenders=1 for that? The idea behind TripleHead2Go is to simulate several monitors as ONE big monitor. You have only one video-cable plugged into your PC and have a new setting available for resolution that widens the desktop over all connected monitors. 3DRenders is the option for several monitors support, though, where you link 2 or more Monitors directly to your PC. The monitor from Alienware is also used as a single monitor. The signal then gets split up in the device itself, just like the TH2G technology. |
