I have the same card and no problems. I have tried water=4 but I have not enough powerful pc so I choosed water=0 and get 10 fps more.
I think I would check your temprature on your card. You are not overclocking it? You have downloaded the lastest drivers? It may be a faulty card too. Is this glitch only appearing in Il2 1946 or other games too? Need more info!
Also try to run in direct x to see if it happens there. I think it´s ether a faulty card or a card overclocked too much without proper cooling.

Ok, water=4 it slow but offline its ok (i mind that i dont lose so many frames) the driver are the one that came with the notebook (athec sense xms1719 wu duo, t 7500 core 2 duo, 4 Gb RAM, and the nvidia). Of course i´m not overcloking it (i dont wanna burn the notebook), and it can be the driver dont know so going to try that. What i have done its to try the beta and seem to go pretty well. Its the only game that suffer this shit, i have the gothic 3 run pretty well (full video options), and the ArmA go well, this one doesnt go full video options because its too much for my computer.
Hope to ask all your question about.

I use a Nvidia 8600 GTS 512mb and have the same problems, but only in external view and certain camera angles. If I move the viewpoint they usually disappear. Never experienced it from the cockpit, so this problem is not very disturbing for me.

Well thats ok if you dont make pictures

Have a similar card, had the same problems. Installed an old driver (I think 169.21) and now it works well.

If that doesn't help try to find an even older driver that supports your card. The newer drivers should work for all nVidias but fact is they are so much optimized for the 8800-series that older or smaller cards can run into some problems. :(

You do know that backside of every game out there this is listed: "Laptop version of these chipsets may work but are not supported" That means some of your games works, and some have strange artifacts like IL2 on your notebook. I belive your card has different drivers because of laptops. Best suggestion is to download an older driver.

Jack_Aubrey 01-25-2008 09:44 PM

Yes, the problem is that the notebook version its not on any drivers by nvidia, its must be modificated by my laptop company. What i found its that (in the net dont remember where, but sound something like laptop2video) you can install the same driver than the normal one but you have to make all manual, i mind that you have to select an install from a list and then choose the normal more similar card. It sound wierd but it work, now i have the problem gone and there´s no problem at all
