I was a ubi mod for a weekend, that was enough for me! ;)
There were more arguments in the private mod forum than in the public forums...

By being prepared to make false accusations against members so you can have an 'excuse' to ban them. In my case by being accused of "Impersonating a developer" and "Giving false information". In a thread I titled "Welcome, US mugs" and making satirical observations. The title alone would have made it blindingly obvious to anyone but an inmate of an insane asylum that I was neither "impersonating a developer" or "giving false information", but I guess when they want somebody gone for a while any despicable lie will do.

But the moderation displays the same total lack of integrity and ethical behaviour as the release of this bus-wreck of a game. Just another reason for Luthier to hang his head very very low.

Why are you unable to stick to topic, this post was a simple question about how you do something, that you turn into a self pity session about why you were banned, who cares, this is the internet, the forum isn't forced upon you, if you don't like it here don't post, pretty simple really.

Back on topic, Im not sure how you get a role as a moderator, not sure why anyone would want to, it would need a very brave person to bother moderating these forums as the above post shows, I'm actually surprised that more aren't banned, I think it's been suggested but this site needs an off topic whinge thread like they have started at Sim HQ, then when in the mood you can browse the complaints or complain yourslf, and keep the normal forum for assistance and relevant info.

Anyone can become a mod. You just need half a brain.
If you know what I mean. ;-)
