how to record tracks?
i want to record a track i made, but unfortunately, every time i want to do so, the game crashes.any tips?
i even tried it with fraps, but somehow, fraps only records when im in the game menu, but not if i watch the track.so how do you guys make those fantastic movies i have seen? |
Not sure about how to prevent the in-built recorder from crashing the game. It only happens to me now after I've left it recording for a long time.
The easiest way to get FRAPS working is to use FRAPS Version 3.1.2 or earlier. There are other work-arounds using later version of FRAPS, that I can't remember the details of, discussed here - http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthr...ighlight=fraps |
in which format do you compress the ingame track with the in-built recorder?
|
I haven't looked into it for a while, but last time I did, 'Full Frames (Uncompressed)' and 'Cinepak Codec by Radius' were the only ones that worked for me.
I found though that 'Full Frames (Uncompressed)' results in video-file sizes that are just too big, so the 'Cinepak' compression was my only option, but I'm still not sure if the 'Cinekpak' codec is a default one that comes with the game or if it came with another program I've installed. I wrote about it in further detail here - http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthr...cording+tracks |
thx Les!
unfortunately it doesnt work for me.at least 99 of 100 tries result in a game crash.i think i have to wait for the devs to make the game more stable until im able to make vids. |
