The game crashes with Visual Effects set above low

First, this problem is related with another my problem, for which I post recently:

When I set Visual Effects above Low, sometimes the game freezes. More often with CEM enabled (actually for me the game is unplayable with CEM enabled).

With Visual Effects set to Low, I can play even with CEM enabled, but there is no fun without tracers/hits/damage fx.

Has anyone here the same video card, to share its experience?
