No damage sound?
I noticed today while flying online that i wasn't hearing any sound of my plane being hit when i was being shot:o.
I was flying straight and level in a 109 chasing some bombers when i saw a message flick up saying i had a weapon failure. 'Odd' i thought as i saw another message pop up saying i had a small fuel line leak.... then i noticed some tracer and i bunted down into a split-S. Then i finally saw a sneaky Spitfire had sneaked up in my blind spot and scored some hits on me. What i realised afterwards was that i heard no sounds of any plane strikes. All the other sounds were working okay including my engine and radio messages. Has anyone else noticed this? |
Yep I've seen tracers and damage messages but no sounds.
As the developers are completely re-doing the sound I guess this issue will get fixed. I also get that I can hear damage sounds from other aircraft getting hit, either by my guns or someone else's. |

You mean you hear sounds from the game when you're online?
Wow...... you're so lucky! :-P:grin: |

There is a reason Luthier said they are rewriting the sound system from scratch, so many bugs and quality issues that appear to be quirks with the sound engine itself rather than simple data errors that could be fixed within minutes. |
Thanks for the responses. I'm not sure if this is a 109 thing or an online problem.
Prop-Strike- the online sound bug seems to be hitting me less frequently lately (but having said that i've probably jinxed myself :-P) I've never heard hits on other planes in CoD. |

i don't know about this guy but i can run the sim on high very high settings without problem
but with the latest patch i experienced some more stutters on the ground but not big deal also theres not only issue for the EMIL with sound it appears to be with all the aircraft |

I have all settings on high except forests (med) and buildings (low). When i'm dogfighting i've never had an issue with framerates getting so low that i've been distracted by them. |
