black screen?
 

hi i have the sim installed from the dvd all seems fine but when i try to fly a plane i get a black screen? i can hear the plane but i can not see it??

This is caused by display driver failure.
I had the same problem back in April.
I "dumbed down" the Nvidia control panel settings and set the slider to "performance".
This helped but did not completely get rid of the problem.
Then I started hacking at everything and eventually CLOD quit doing it.
Running in windowed mode and setting res. to 1024x768 were a couple of the things I remember doing.
All is ok now although I do get a flicker of the desktop when I hit the fly button but I can live with that.

thanks for the info i will try to get the sim working again if i can get the the rise of filght sim working on the same pc i must get cod working some way. why dont IL2 bring out a patch for this?
