IL-2 Sturmovik Complete Edition - Campaigns

Hi All,

I have read the manual a number of times now and still can't figure out how to get a campaign started, even just on the standard software of the game itself. The game is great but the user interface is from the stone age and beginning to bug me already! Any tips would be much appreciated.
