Help! Very strange game issues.
 

Since the release of UP 3.0 RC I went back, deleted my UP 2.01 copy, duplicated my backup and patched up from 4.09 --> 4.10 --> 4.10.1. I was flying on the UK dedicated server in hyperlobby when my game suddenly dropped out and closed itself. I tried to enter the server again, but it failed. I then proceeded to click on my game icon to try and play offline. It loaded up to the menu screen and froze before I could do anything. I am a widescreen user and do regularly have to windows out of the game and reenter to gain control of the mouse, but this was not the case. I had to pull up the task manager and use the keyboard to try to close IL 2, which will not work without numerous pressings of the esc key. I tried completely deleting IL 2 files and reinstalling the game, but I have had no luck as the problem persists. I am using the steam download of the game, which seems to come devoid of any important cache files. I'd like to know if any knows what exactly is going on.

If I remember well you need the Ubifix for the game downloaded from steam.
Not totally sure about it, so maybe make a back up of the game before apply the patch.
