How to start an engine?

Just trying to fly online but I’m not able to start the engine.
Magnetos are on.
Fuel is on.
Turns over for a few seconds and shuts down.
What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

Mixture rich
Throttle between 10-20%

Once started, let the engine tick over till oil water are up to temp, then you can throttle up more to taxi.

Boost no more than 10-12 % to start

and open radiators then.

and dont forgett, in british planes "mixture" rich is 3D cockpit lever BACK, and gives a reading of 0% if you have enabled the digital info window.

for italian planes you need mixture lean. 3D Cockpitlever forward with a digital reading of also 0% ;)

Be nice if you can and give me a rundown of check list from before I’m sitting in the aircraft and about to hit I to start.

The propeller does a couple of spins and engine dies evertime after I hit I to start.
Where is the boost to set? Look through commands didn’t see it or cockpit.

Sorry for being dumb.. it’s my nature.

Is there any way to practice start up and take offs in signal players?

Thanks ahead of time!
