Direct2Drive.. Seriously.. what the hell?
 

Ok.. so I've watched this release date slip from March to April to May and now it shows up as July 19... 2? months away.. wow..

What the hell is going on? I already have an EU copy of the game, but I also pre-ordered it on the US site, so by the time i actually get it, it'll be worthless.. Guess thats what you get for pre-ordering it..

Frankly, if you wait a year you will save money, frustration, and if this title survives hopefully a very good sim experience.

I purchased the Russian version very early on and have flown quite bit through all the patches.

At this point in time with Ultr@pack 3.0 RC1 and merging with IL-2 4.10.1 and the start of the Ghost Skies Slovenia Phase III battle, CoD goes back on the shelf. The amount of entertainment that IL-2 with UP3.0 and Ghost Skies offers is just to much to compete against CoD.

Hopefully, the devs are able to sustain a long and comprehensive patching program followed up by a lot of value added items such as aircraft, theaters and and an online programmable campaign engine; then we can dump old IL-2 and move on.

Even Rise of Flight is still being patched and developed and with the upcoming release of version xx.19 we will have a viable campaign engine with multi-dimensional objectives and this can utilized to develop controllers and a viable online campaign/war that the online squads can participate in like Ghost Skies for old IL-2.
