Cannot save personalized control settings
I need help ... :(
I'm not able to save the control setting, "save as" and "load" doesn't work. I'm also not able to found where the actual personalized setting are placed. Conf and confUser in both main folder and 1CsoftClub does not show the actual settings, looks like default or an old setting, so i can't even manually save my config and this is a big problem since the control settings sometimes are deleted and restored to the default ... I'm the only one with this problem? Any idea? Win7 Ultimate64bit, i7-920, GTX295 |
Unable to save settings
Hi
I have exactly the same problem; those buttons just don't work, they do nothing, no menu pop up, no destination folder, nothing! It's quite fustrating, as I'm trying to save my settings to ensure that the next patch won't force me to remap all the keys and joystick settings. A sideeffect of having to enable the 'cloud' thing in Steam, as just updated the game to the latest hotfix version and have realized the confuser.ini structure file has been modified, so I cannot just copy&paste the content of the backup I had made pre patch update. Any hints? |

There were changes made that need this refreshing with the last updates. http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=23086 "Additionally, if you have disabled Cloud Synchronization for config files, you may be playing a game with an obsolete controls config. Please back up and delete your old file and reenable Cloud Synchronization to grab a latest stock version." |
That's why enabled Cloud Synchronization for config files and, after the hotfix, I see the confuser.ini has a different structure from the one I had backed up pre-patch.
So, ok I'm ready to remap everything in-game, but the damn in-game buttons in the save/load controls menu just don't work. |

The inability to save as / load control settings in the game menu is due to Aero / Desktop Composition being disabled in the right-click->properties->compatibility menu of the launcher.exe file, which I had configured that way before the full-screen video implementation of the last patch. Now I can save as / load customized settings. Cheers |

Disabled desktop composition is the problem. UNcheck the checkbox.
