Dusted off my rudder pedals, Win 10 install help

It’s been many years since I played the IL-2 series and I hope to restart.
I have most all the original CD’s and expansion packs in their boxes:

I paid for Cliffs of Dover to help finance the Russian developer guy, his name escapes me, but never received it.

My PC’s are more powerful than ever, I dusted off my rudder pedals, joystick, and track IR, and I’m ready to go.

What do I do next? My disks probably won’t install on Windows 10, however, I can Install Oracle’s Virtual Box to run Windows XP.

What is the best way to go for install? I’m not interested in On-line playing.
I’d appreciate your help. Links, guides, forum posts ?

I think: you'll need to configure the virtual machine to pass through your joystick, rudder pedals, and TrackIR to the guest OS.
