Whre is the force feedback?
So I have the beta patch that came out on the 4th of may.
I have a windows7 system with a MS FF2 stick. However the stck is as sloppy as... well, there is no spring tension or shake effects... The FF works i know that since i play Il2 1946 quite a bit.. Now, is there anythng that has to be done in order to enable it? Best regards |
latest patch, FFB and G940
According to the official notice the FFB should be incorporated in the latest patch.
BUT: a) where are the settings within CoD to configure it? b) the way it works is quite the same as before: FFB is only present as "centering force" and quite too strong (unflyable strong!!!) and as before I need to start FSFORCE-Test to set the centering force to 5% to use the G940. No other FFB effects are present: No effect when firing the cannon, no indication when the plane stalls,.... Can anyone confirm that FFB is incorporated in the latest patch and how to activate? |
I have FFB similar to the old IL2 1946.
I have no specific settings in the game. It works by itself. I play with a special profile in my g940 profiler. In global effects i have the first 3 at 74% and centering off and att 0%. Works fine for me |
It's been fixed since a few patches ago for most people. Check your conf.ini settings and make sure FFB=1. No need for Forcedit anymore thank God.
|
Well, FF=1 is there, but since the last update, force feedback is gone. It was there a couple of days ago, not anymore. Something changed.
|
I can confirm that it's still there and working quite well for everything including stalls, guns, speed, etc. There is still the bug where you get gun shake effect when pressing the trigger after your ammo is depleted.
|
You're right. I must have done something wrong, or I changed to menu during flight and screwed up the FFB there. I had that sometimes, when -in flight- going to the menu to change a switch or setting or so, that after coming back in the cockpit the FFB was gone. Maybe that was the case yesterday.
Anyway, FFB is indeed still working. |
