Cannot play on same machine dedicated server (Resolved)
 

I managed to set up a dedicated server on my computer, anyone can connect and fly except me. I play the game on the same machine its hosted.


As soon as click fly after I choose a plane, I get disconnected from my server with the message:

I can choose my load out and my plane, look at the briefing all I want, but as soon as I hit fly, a few seconds later I get disconnected. I looked on the web for solutions, but only threads from various forums dating back to 2004 ask this same question withoutany answer.



RESOLVED: Something I did fixed it. Restarting the router, connecting to other servers on hyperlobby and playing them, enabling mods, changing the starting map gor the server. Maybe something in the map cache was wrong with the map. All I know is it works now.

1st:
If you launch the server alone, does it works fine?

The server has no issues being launched alone or with the game. Regardless of which is launched first, after connecting and even waiting on the briefing screen it still kicks me immediately after hitting fly.

Wich versions do you use, server and client?

4.12.2 client and server. NO MODS

This is not a version issue, people posted this problem on forums dating to 2004 and 2011. Everyone with the same version can connect and fly on the server. I, the person hosting it can connect and load in, but upon clicking 'fly" I am disconnected from the server.

I let a few days go by: flew on other servers on hyperlobby, re-enabled small mods, restarted the router, changed the initial map the server starts on and back.

FIXED!

Don't have this problem anymore, can connect and fly without a problem. Strange bug, dont know how I fixed it, but something I did resolved it.

Next step is to upgrade to 4.13 and to publish IP and to invite others to fly ;)
