F2 or F3? Adding men
 

What's the difference in adding in men, tanks, etc. on the F2 level as opposed to the F3 level? (Map layer vs. Mission layer)

I did it by accident and it seemed to still work.
All except in the F3 mode, the guys have a halo over top their heads attached to the gun with a line.

What will it do besides save the guys with the map.

I assume this was done so someone could create the map then many could make different missions on the same map and they would be separate.

F2 level: only for mapping and "neutral" stuff.

F3 level: for scripting AI
