videomakers: Fraps, or the ingame movie exporting tool?
Yesterday I was playing with a couple tracks I saved for the first time. I was thinking about playing a track and capturing the best moments with Fraps, when ta-daaa, I noticed the managing screen for tracks also shows a capture-export section, with a couple interesting filters too. Plus the options to remove arrows, icons, plane-names, etc, very useful.
But how does it work? And DOES it actually work now, or is it just another WIP feature to be fixed in the future patches? All I could get so far is a long, black frame... |
Im guilty of never trying the avi save tool, but fraps does allow you to just get the highlights of the track easily
|
I can also recommend Playclaw for capture.
When I tried the built in capture it didnt work for some reason. |

Gathering that you guys have watched a few of your recorded tracks. Are the engine sounds for all planes other than the players audible? Whenever I play back a track the only engine sound I get is from the player plane. All other planes engine sounds are silent. Sorry to O/T ;) Cheers, Neil :) |

uhm, I didn't notice it, but since you said all the other planes are silent, Im going to check it out right now.
EDIT - Neil, nope,, i loaded my track (Spitfire vs 3 HE111) just a little track but works fine, both focusing on any single plane and/or switching to panoramic flyby views (F3) that show the HE111's chased by my Spit... I can hear all the engines. |
Engine sounds are fubar in my tracks too. Just another bug to be fixed eventually I guess.
