Direct2drive, release still not out?
 

Just wondering if anyone that ordered from d2d has gotten their cd key yet or anything? Says release is at 10am PST today but still nothing.

US download edition is now released on May 24th. Got delayed.

D2D can't release before Steam (it's a steamworks game, region locked) so have a look here to watch out for any future delays.

Well I have good news, it seems that's incorrect :D.

I just got my cd key from them, it's useable on steam and I am d/ling the game through steam right now.

When you check your 'Steam Purchases' after you activated in Steam then does it say it's the USA release? My one says 'EMEA Retail' which is the UK/Europe edition.

It just says Retail.

Sorry, should have been clearer - mine says:

..so I guess if yours is different then CoD has been released in the US and that Steam is delaying their purchases for 3 more weeks for some reason. Odd.

I assume it is indeed the US version, so i'd suggest using D2D for anyone in the US Wanting the game, works fine through steam same as any other.
