Hurricane engine startup Problem
.... does anyone know how to get the Hurricane in the first mission of the campagne startet?
I am flying with complexe engine management and in other selfmade missions I have no problem getting the Hurricane off the ground. In the first mission of the campagne I dont even get the engine started. I open the fuelswitch, open the radiator, set mixture to rich, switch on the two magnetos, put proppitch on full and throttle on about 20% and push ignition - nothing, only a slight movement of the prop and some clouds from the exhaust pipes thats it, what is different on that Hurricane compared to the one I normally get started? Anyone know? |
put less than 20% of throttle... for me i start with only 10%

after looking for difference the only i found between the MKI DH and the rotol MKI.
is the proppitch. it is fix on DH and two position in rotol. |
....hmmm, thanks for your answers, ....

i just try to start the hurri... did you pump fuel before starting engines?
the little hand pump right side of your seat. |

I start the hurri without it anyway.... Just make sure: Full rich mix, 10% throttle, press start and WAIT a minute or so for the engine to get running fine, otherwise it will choke and die when you pump up the throttle. Good luck once you get up though ;) |
...thanks redroach for your links.
:) |
pump fuel? No I didnt, thanks for the hint will try tonight.
Thanks. |
Probably redundant but did you switch the fuelcock to on? That kept me grounded te first mission.
