Use HDR?
 

Page 18 of the manual refers to HDR for improved contrast but that option tick box doesn't show in my Video options. Is it only available with certain specs?

My picture starts really bright and lively (over the Channel) for an instant then goes 'flat' almost as if I am looking through grey tinted specs. I thought may be it was a DX9 issue but having upgraded to Win 7 and running DX10 it is still the same (everything else - fps, stutter, effects are remarkably better, AA is now available and.................. no screen tearing... :grin:...what a relief that is!).

.....its there but starts with a texture description. Its set to 1 and if 0 causes a launcher crash......I tried it to see what difference it made....:grin:
